Win or die trying

"Win or die trying" was the white sox's team motto for this year... and lets just be glad i didn't have to deal with the prospect of a bunch of fallen ballers.

CONGRATULATIONS TO OZZIE GUILLEN AND THE 2005 WHITE SOX! YOU'VE MADE US FANS PROUD!

following up on my last post....

I stayed up the whole time to watch all 5 hours and 41 minutes of game three... and honestly, it was well worth it. On the other hand, i couldn't fall asleep until nearly 4am, so having to drag my tired ass around today is a bit cumbersome.

Alas, I will stay up to watch game 4 tonight in which the sox will likely finish off the astros... its been a LONG time coming kids....

like the energizer bunny....

game 3 of the world series just keeps going and going.... its now 12:26am local time (nearly 5 hours after the game started) and the 13th inning is just getting underway.

what's going to give out first? the tie score or my currently diminishing state of awakedness?

motivation or mania?

There seems to be a fine line between motivation and mania and i'm not really certain on which side of that line i am currently standing.

Why would i say that? Simple... for the longest time i was a terribly unmotivated sloth and suddenly i am fueled by the throes of passion for life. Not only have i launched my website, I've been getting far more work accomplished at my job, i've been keeping my house clean (relatively, at least), i've been self-teaching various computer tasks as photo editing, video editing, php, active directory, vbscript and my second son is due to be born in January.

My behavior has been almost out of control lately, but i'm getting so much accomplished which is why i ask the question motivation or mania? No one around me seems to be complaining much leading me to believe its truly motivation... however, much of my actions are driven by compulsion - something that when left unmonitored can be terribly unhealthy.

I wonder if other people have experienced periods in their lives like this, and if so what the results and/or consequences were? Until then, I'm off to go wash my hands until they bleed clean.

Welcome to my world... or so it would seem

Well, now that things have finally gotten off the ground and my website is on the air, I might as well introduce myself.

My Name is Marc Wermund (aka. the mabus) and I have a wife named Lanette (aka. mrs. mabus) and a 6-year-old son named Hunter (aka. mini-mabus) with another boy on the way (the soon to be unleashed "micro-mabus". I reside in the hellhole otherwise known as Fort Wayne, Indiana. I work in the IT industry as a network administrator for a multi-billion dollar privately-owned wholesaler and have also worked for other tech giants such as Lucent , GTE (now known as Verizon) and more. As such, i'm a computer nerd and am always happy to help people out with their computer troubles.

I'm a big sports nut, right now my team - the Chicago Wh
ite Sox, are up 1 game to none against the astros in the world series. I also follow pro football, basketball and hockey. I also attend many
Komets hockey and Wizards baseball games - both the local minor league franchises.

One of my other interests is political debate.... Not only do i like writing about politics, i love to discuss them. And, be warned, that while i don't affiliate myself with either the republicans or democrats, i tend to take progressive views on most issues. Feel free to join me in the mabusland forums to join in the madness and tell me my viewpoints are whacked.

Anyways, welcome again and check back often for more articles!
